      Our mission is to protect and preserve the natural ecosystems of the forests of the Nicoya Peninsula, including the water sources and wildlife upon which all life depends, while educating the public and involving local communities.

      We consider it an honor to be the stewards of such an important conservation project,

    • The Karen Mogensen Reserve is an astonishingly beautiful wildlife refuge home to countless species of animals, plants and trees.  

      This oxygen-producing forest absorbs an estimated 8000 tons of carbon dioxide a year.
