Explore and Protect the Heart of the Nicoya Peninsula
Our mission is to protect and preserve the natural ecosystems of the forests of the Nicoya Peninsula, including the water sources and wildlife upon which all life depends, while educating the public and involving local communities.
We consider it an honor to be the stewards of such an important conservation project,

Help Us Expand and Conserve
Your donations help support forest and wildlife conservation, and educational campaigns in the Nicoya Peninsula of Costa Rica.
The Karen Mogensen Reserve is an astonishingly beautiful wildlife refuge home to countless species of animals, plants and trees.
This oxygen-producing forest absorbs an estimated 8000 tons of carbon dioxide a year.

“Our vision is to expand the protected areas and increase the size of the Karen Mogensen Reserve ecosystem, allowing space for surrounding forests to be safeguarded and neighboring pasturelands to naturally regenerate.”
We are honored to have been chosen for the Earth Today initiative
